Legend from the survey: "The above diagram represents a tract of land situated in Jefferson Township Allegheny County Pennsylvania
belonging to the heirs of James McRoberts containing one hundred and five acres and one hundred and forty five perches strict measure. Surveyed at the request of Robert McKee Esq Jan 28th & 29th A.D. 1863." Signed John B. Chittley
The farm house is visible, located on the "Public Road" (Coal Valley Road) which runs through the tract. The farm is bounded on the south by property owned by William Chambers, on the east and north by property owned by Samuel Wilson and William McRoberts and the west and north by Allen's and John H. Mclhinney lands.

Plate no.16 Jefferson Township
The land is located on the original 422 acres, 29 parsecs warranted to William and John Elliot on February 10, 1786. The parcel was patented to James McRoberts and Andrew Finney on March 18, 1817.
